Xorg 7.2 was installed from ports in accordance with what is in UPDATING from an up-to-date ports tree (portsnap fetch update). Compiz 0.5 was installed from ports as well. I'm using the following to start up compiz: compiz --replace gconf & gtk-window-decorator --replace & following active_plugins: gconf,png,svg,decoration,wobbly,fade,minimize,cube,switcher,move,resize,place,rotate,zoom,scale,dbus As above turning off DamageEvents works with some degree of performance degradation (not terrible for screensavers, but more intense things like google earth are harder hit). Here's the report log. I've got compiz enabled during the run, but no other GL apps running on top.
