You play as Nuvik, a man born in the land of Karok. Soon after his birth the king of demons, Malak, begins to suspect you will corrupt his underground world. He kidnaps you and you are soon a slave in his twisted world. Soon after your 28th birthday, you begin to realize you were once a peaceful human who lived in a nearly perfect world. You decide to revolt and soon the slave camp is destroyed.
After this, Malak decides to get rid of the humans of Karok once in for all. He sends his soldiers to Karok for an attack. However, while you are running from the guards, you find a goblet that gives you a different power every time you step into a realm. There are 12 realms in the underground world and they are the only way back to Karok. The only way to access the gates to these realms is to obtain their respective keys. Nuvik must find the keys and return to his home before Malak destroys it.
